It was
Kim's father, Howard together with cousin Mark and friend Roger who first
managed to successfully stay vertical on the board - albeit travelling for only
a few yards.
The board seemed to
'skid' along rather than skim - the board bending in the middle from the weight
of the rider. Kim seemed to be having better success further down the beach
with eight year old Carey who was sitting within a large thick plastic
'Bournemouth Catering' Tea Tray - Kim pushed Carey along and the Tea Tray
skimmed over the water effortlessly - it soon became obvious that a thicker
board with a larger surface area was required. |
